To provide a clear and concise procedure for team members to set up and utilize the call transfer feature in GoHighLevel's Assistant, ensuring effective communication and prompt handling of calls in various scenarios.
Access your Go High Level subaccount by logging in with your credentials.
Once logged in, locate and click on the 'Assistant' menu.
Choose the Assistant you wish to configure for call transfer (e.g., the 'Blank Assistant').
Add Required Tools:
Go to 'Tools and Abilities'.
Ensure the following two mandatory tools are assigned to your chosen Assistant:
Tool 1
Tool 2
Click on 'Add Tool'.
Create the Call Transfer Tool:
Select 'Transfer Call' from the tool options.
Name the tool using the format: transfer_call_[keyword] (e.g., transfer_call_ricky).
Keep the keyword short (2-3 words) and avoid lengthy descriptions.
Start the description with "Use these tools" to instruct the Assistant.
Specify scenarios for when to execute the transfer, such as:
When a user requests to speak to a specific person (e.g., Ricky).
When a user has an emergency (e.g., plumbing issue).
Other relevant scenarios (e.g., restaurant reservations).
After adding a phone number for the transfer, click 'Update Number'.
Click 'Save Changes' to finalize the tool creation.
Ensure the newly created tool is added to the Assistant by clicking 'Add to Assistant'.
Confirm the tool turns red, indicating it has been successfully added.
Implement in Prompt:
In the prompt where the transfer should be called out, write: transfer_call_[keyword] (e.g., transfer_call_ricky).
Click 'Save Changes' to apply the prompt.
Dial the assigned number to test the call transfer functionality.
Ensure the call is successfully transferred as intended.
Always double-check the format of the tool name and description to avoid errors.
Ensure that the phone number is correctly updated before saving changes.
If the Assistant does not respond as expected, review the prompts and tool settings for accuracy.
Use clear and concise keywords to make the tool easy to remember and invoke.
